HoverCam Remote Helicopter

HoverCam is a remote controlled helicopter specifically designed to carry commercial film, video cameras and download links. These small, five feet long, radio controlled helicopters fly just like the real thing and are capable of hovering, flying forwards/backwards, sideways, up and down as well as rotating horizontally. In addition to being highly manoeuvrable, the camera maybe panned and tilted individually in a gyro-stabilised mount.

The daily hire rate for the HoverCam includes a pilot, camera operator and a technician (in most cases). To see the type of imagery that can be captured please see our Show-reel.

Our conventional Helicopter comes complete with our our own specialist filming pilot, camera and camera mount. We are able to shoot on anything from 16 mm to 35 mm film, as well as broadcast and high definition video. We generally work from a previously agreed shot list and send you the imagery on the media you require. When you book with HoverCam you are effectively ordering library footage which we acquire in our own time, before an agreed deadline.

Indoor Airship
Indoor Airship

The HoverCam Indoor Airship is a 25m3 helium filled envelope with a gyro stabilised camera mount suspended from the centre of gravity. Its powered by electric motors and it can be used with commercial film or video cameras as well as down links.

The envelope is constructed from high tenacity nylon yarns. The gondola thrusters and camera mount are made of carbon - reinforced epoxy resin and foam sandwich laminate.

The thrusters have four bladed variable pitch fans (±10º) that can be vectored 0º - 90º, this coupled with a rear vectored (±90º), allows total 3D manoeuvrability.

The airship is ideally suited to indoor arenas such as music concerts, exhibitions and sports events. As well as filming the airship can also be used for corporate advertising.
