Established in 1993, Hovercam Ltd. was co-founded by cameraman Gifford Hooper and Pilot Philip George, and has, over the years, developed a reputation as one of the foremost providers of aerial filming services. Hovercam is based on a 3 acre site in the South West of England from which our full sized helicopters fly and team are located.

  1. Gifford Hooper

  2. Director / Aerial Cameraman

  3. Co-founder of Hovercam Ltd. and one of the early pioneers of technology allowing film cameras to be mounted inside a remote controlled helicopter. His work in the area has lead to an Oscar Nomination for a “Technical Achievement Award” in 1995.

  1. Philip George

  2. Director / Pilot

  3. A helicopter filming pilot with over 20 years experience and a proven track record in remote controlled aerial image capture. As co-founder of Hovercam Ltd. Phil is one of the most respected in his profession in the industry.

  1. Nick Ridholls

  2. Cameraman

  3. Nick has been with Hovercam now for several years and in that time has numerous filming credits to his name. His most recent camera achievements currently available to see are “28 weeks Later” and “Hard Fi - Living for the weekend” music video.

  2. Technician / Runner

  3. Chris is our conscientious onboard technician and is slightly less useful than he looks
